Mission Statement
The mission of the Far Northeast Regional Athletic Program is to create an educational and competitive experience within an atmosphere of sportsmanship. We strive to develop and realize individual and team potential by promoting high standards of competence, character, civility and citizenship.  In so doing, participants will realize increased academic achievement and community involvement.

Vision
The vision of the FNRAP is to develop a top caliber, community based athletics experience for all youth residents in the Far Northeast.  The FNRAP will work closely with community organizations, Denver Public Schools, and the Far Northeast business community to provide high quality, affordable and seamless athletic opportunities for youth ages 5 to 18. 

The FNRAP will transform the Far Northeast by enhancing schools, spurring economic development and establishing the region as a national model for innovative community building through a comprehensive athletics program.

Goals

  • Increase youth participation and enjoyment of athletics in the Far Northeast.

  • Grow the number of organized sports programs in the FNE to include volleyball, tennis, golf, lacrosse, softball, cross-country, wrestling and others.

  • Develop a seamless athletics system in the FNE from age 5 onward that:
    • Promotes personal improvement in skills, physical condition and knowledge of sports
    • Encourages all youth to participate in a supportive, caring environment appropriate to their ability level.
    • Enables high performers to compete with and against other talented athletes in Colorado and nationally.
    • Establishes a culture of sportsmanship, excellence and pride in the FNE community.

  • Recruit and retain outstanding coaches who:
    • Serve as community leaders and role models.
    • Encourage and assist athletes to achieve their highest academic and athletic potential.
    • Forge relationships with fellow coaches to benefit student athletes.
    • Strive for excellence in coaching skills and techniques.
    • Facilitate clinics or camps to recruit younger athletes.

  • Elevate the quality and performance of FNE high schools by:
    • Increasing and maintaining enrollment.
    • Achieving 90 percent student participation in extracurricular activities.
    • Providing students with continuity in high quality coaching and competition from an early age.
    • Encouraging community involvement, support and pride in FNE schools through athletics.
    • Raising the percentage of FNE students who apply to and enroll in post-secondary education.

  • Stimulating economic development by establishing the FNE as a national and regional destination for youth sporting events.
